The Taipei City Government announced to establish the Taipei IoT (Internet of Things) Innovation Lab to provide startups in Taiwan with required experimental infrastructure and resources for their proof of concept, reported Central News Agency on December 13. As part of the smart city project, Taipei City Government has cooperated with Dell, Gemtek, UnaBiz and NVIDIA to establish the lab in Neihu Dist., Taipei, providing hardware and software and incorporating public and private resources for entrepreneur groups to conduct IT experiments. Besides, the City Government will also invite the academia and industry partners to showcase their IT achievements at the Lab, hoping to provide more intelligent applications and efficient services to the residents.
